DCWV Nana's Nusery - Baby Boy
Thursday, November 26, 2009
Here is a baby book I made using DCWV's Nana's Nusery - Baby Boy collection. This collection has a lot of glitter to it which I could not really capture in the scans. The glitter gives the album a fun texture that makes you want to touch it through the sheet protectors.
I used all of the same products as the other albums I have made. This album I used a Pioneer album again to store it in.
Anna's Baby Book

My sister is having a baby next month, so I made her baby book using the Green paper pad from DCWV. I also used cardstock mats from DCWV. I love their heavyweight paper and cardstock because they have an awesome texture that gives the pages greater depth. As I do with all of my baby books, I used photo canvas to print out the detail pages. I used brown thread to stitch the edges. With this book, I put all of the pages into an AMM 8x8 album. I don't normally use these because they are not cheap, but since it's for my baby sister, I spent a little more money on hers! I can use higher quality books for the price difference.
Here are some sample pages from this book:
Basic Grey Baby Book
Saturday, November 21, 2009
I have made a couple of baby books over the years for friends and family, but this past summer I have taken that to a new level. I have made a very thorough template that covers as much as possible of baby’s first year. I use designer papers and add lots of detail by sewing the edges of the info pages and photo mats. I have used papers that are both baby specific and “artsy.” I will post the books as I get them scanned in.
DISCLAIMER: My scanner SUCKS so these scans are not the best. I tried cleaning them up some, but they are still very grainy. I apologize!
For this book, I used the Eva line from Basic Grey and a variety of Magnolia papers from My Mind's Eye. I used a Pioneer Album. I printed all of the info pages onto Photo Canvas giving it a great texture. I stitched all of the edges with brown thread.
Comments are always welcome!
Bartlett Family

The same weekend I did the engagement pictures, I did some family pictures of a good friend of mine and my son's old preschool teacher. I didn't do much editing because I wanted the beautiful fall colors to shine. Such a gorgeous family!
Scott and Ashley's Engagements
Last month I took some engagement pictures for some friends of mine. I really liked the way they turned out! They are such a photogenic couple! All of the black and white and anitqued images were edited using Nichole Van's Retro Tintype action.
